List of Achilles Tendon Stretches

This page provides details on Achilles tendon stretches. The Achilles tendon connects your calf muscle to your heel bone. This tendon can be injured or strained during martial arts training due to inadequate warm-ups & stretching, awkward movements, etc. It is also possible to completely tear an Achilles tendon during training so please see a doctor if you are experiencing pain and/or a lack of mobility. For related stretches, you should also visit our section on Ankle Stretches, Plantar Fasciitis Stretches and Calf Stretches.

All stretches and exercises should be supervised by a trained martial arts instructor in order to prevent injuries and to ensure the proper technique is utilized. For additional martial arts stretches targeting other areas of the body, please visit the main Martial Arts Stretches page.
