Instructions for the Krav Maga Defense Against A High Round Kick In unarmed combat, you will need to counter your opponent's punches and kicks. This page focuses on Krav Maga techniques that are used to defend against a high round kick or roundhouse kick. In this self-defense scenario, an attacker is trying to kick you in the head or upper body. You will use the same blocking technique for either target. You will just move your arms higher or lower in order to absorb the kick. However, this technique should be used only as an initial step before you quickly counter with blows in order to stop your attacker. You should also visit the Krav Maga pages focused on defenses against medium round kicks and defenses against low round kicks. For more techniques, please visit the main Krav Maga Techniques section.
