Wing Chun Technique - Gang Sau or Gaun Sau (Cultivating Hand) This section examines the Wing Chun technique known as Gang Sau or Gaun Sau. It is also known as Cultivating Hand, Splitting Hand, Splitting Block, etc. This technique is used as a low/mid-level blocking maneuver in order to stop rib punches, mid-level kicks, etc. Gang Sau is often combined with a punch in order to simultaneously block and counterattack.
